PHRMSC 311 Drugs, Diseases, and the Quest for Better Health Outcomes (3) NSc
Introduces students to the broad principles of how medications produce their effects, how drugs are developed and reach the market, and the landscape of pharmacy practice in the U.S. Recommended: basic knowledge of general chemistry; anatomy; and physiology. Offered: jointly with PHARM 311; Sp.

PHRMSC 312 The Science of Drugs (3) NSc
Introduces students to medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences. Recommended for students majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering, chemical engineering, public health and other health sciences, and related fields. PHRMSC 401 Principles of Pharmacology (2) NSc
Covers fundamental mechanisms of therapeutic drug action in both health and disease. Key topics include how therapeutics interact with the body, routes of medicine administration, and the basics of major therapeutic classes. PHRMSC 432 Introduction to Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (2)
Provides an introduction to economic evaluation and outcomes research related to pharmaceuticals and other healthcare technologies.
